We believe everyone should have equal, hands-on opportunities to develop their skills and obtain practical experience. Our small, family-like atmosphere makes everyone feel like part of the team, and we are also committed to community involvement through donations and fundraisers.
“From the day I interviewed with CFM, I interacted with the partners. They interviewed me and from the first day all the way through today, I had access to everybody in the firm. That’s one of the benefits you get working at a small firm.”
— Ethan Smith, CPA, MBA, Manager
From the very first day, you’ll be making an impact by interacting with our partners and clients. Our flexible 30-day schedule offers you 15 days in an office setting while the remainder of your time can be spent working remotely or visiting clients. We invest in technology to further support your development, providing laptops and subscriptions to services like Thomson Reuters, the AICPA, and the NY State Society of CPAs. CFM supports Continuing Professional Education (CPE), covers 75% of health care premiums monthly, and offers more PTO than the “big” firms.
At CFM, we understand that having a solid balance between your work and home life is essential. As your life advances, our partners understand that flexibility matters, so whether you put in your hours from home or the office, our main priority is that you deliver quality work. Still, we value the time spent in the office as it enables us to collaborate in person.
And, when traveling for work and visiting clients on-site, after the work is done, we show our appreciation by attending sporting events, dinners at highly-rated local restaurants, or by adjusting travel itineraries to catch early flights if everything is completed!
We are looking for bright and motivated interns and recent graduates ready to take their careers to the next level. Our ideal candidate is a team player and critical thinker, willing to put in extra effort, ask questions, and push beyond their comfort zone. If you’re an outgoing individual who wants to learn and enjoys challenges – this is the perfect opportunity and the ideal firm. We offer exciting career growth opportunities from entry-level to senior manager positions. So if you have ambition and drive, inquire about joining our team!
CFM offers fantastic opportunities for accounting majors seeking practical knowledge while pursuing their studies. The CFM scholarship provides financial assistance and allows students to gain valuable experience through internships that will be incredibly beneficial in the long run. This is an excellent opportunity for those currently attending St. Joseph’s University, NY. The requirements are simple, and the personal statement allows candidates to show their commitment and passion for their studies. This scholarship opportunity enables accounting students to achieve their dreams while helping them with financial assistance to pursue their education.
“As an intern and new staff member, it is valuable to learn what you weren’t taught in school and what isn’t in the textbooks – how to talk to clients, how to handle documents that aren’t yours, how to dress appropriately, how to show up on time, and if you don’t know an answer to something, how to answer the question. You could read a textbook all you want, but you’re never going to learn without real-world experience.”
— Ryan Craig, CPA, MS, Manager, Former Intern
